At Boyd Family Law, we have over 55 years of combined family law experience. I have been practicing law for 30 years and Donna McKinlay, my family law legal assistant, has been in this area of law for 26 years. This means we have handled literally thousands of contested family law cases, and I have participated in hundreds of trials, hearings and mediations in courts all over Texas.

While I do also handle agreed or uncontested matters, the majority of my clients hire me for my emphasis on and experience and reputation in contested family law cases and litigation. Unlike many family law attorneys who handle only a high volume of uncontested divorces, I enjoy trial work and have extensive experience with contested matters that culminate in trials or mediation.
